The weather forecast was looking good for a morning paddle, with the winds increasing over lunchtime. So Andy and I decided a trip to Harry's would be a good option, leaving us plenty of time to get home. Due to the swell, Harry's was fairly messy, but it was still good fun catching the waves, for a quick surf, before the wave was side swiped and nullified by the swell. We were very tempted to continue out to the Skerries, but with the forecast we'd seen the night before, we both decided against risking it. It was only when we got back, we saw the forecast had changed with the high winds arriving much later. Oh well another time. For mid January the condition were sublime. Two happy paddlers.
